Elon Musk may have just helped Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Musk has explicitly intervened and refused to let Starlink be activated in occupied territories so Ukraine could conduct drone strikes in places like Crimea. Musk was concerned that such strikes would escalate the war and loss of life, even though not allowing such strikes just meant more dead Ukrainians and that ultimately such a decision was not his to make. This led to the US having to pay for specific access and control of certain Starlink systems so that Musk could get over himself and quit intervening in the war.

Former Senior British Military Intelligence Officer Phillip Ingram analysed the Russian authorities' claim that Ukrainian drones hit a commercial building complex in Moscow early on Sunday.

The Russian defence ministry called the strike an "attempted terrorist attack".

On the same day, Vladimir Putin made a speech at the Navy Day parade, which Mr Ingram said may have signalled the Russian leader's worries about "what's going on inside Ukraine".

A security guard was injured, Russia’s state news agency Tass reported, citing emergency officials. The attack is the latest in a series of recent drone assaults – including on the Kremlin and Russian towns near the border with Ukraine – that Moscow has blamed on Kyiv. Ukraine is yet to comment, but typically declines to claim responsibility for attacks on Russia. The Russian defence ministry called it an “attempted terrorist attack”.

A skyscraper in Russia's capital Moscow has been attacked by a drone for the second time in two days, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has said.

Several drones were shot down overnight on Monday, he said, but "one flew into the same tower at the Moskva City complex" that was targeted on Sunday.

Russia's defence ministry blamed Ukraine for the latest attack.

Kyiv did not comment on responsibility but warned Russia that the conflict could soon move to its territory.

Two more Ukrainian drones were shot down by anti-aircraft systems elsewhere in the Moscow region, Russia's defence ministry said, claiming to have thwarted a Ukrainian "terrorist attack".

The saga continues as award-winning filmmaker Denis Villeneuve embarks on “Dune: Part Two,” the next chapter of Frank Herbert’s celebrated novel Dune, with an expanded all-star international ensemble cast. The film, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, is the highly anticipated follow-up to 2021’s six-time Academy Award-winning “Dune.”

Villeneuve directed from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts based on Herbert’s novel. The film is produced by Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Villeneuve, Tanya Lapointe and Patrick McCormick. The executive producers are Josh Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Jon Spaihts, Thomas Tull, Brian Herbert, Byron Merritt, Kim Herbert, with Kevin J. Anderson serving as creative consultant.

Villeneuve is again collaborating with his “Dune” creatives: Oscar-winning director of photography Greig Fraser; Oscar-winning production designer Patrice Vermette; Oscar-winning editor Joe Walker; Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor Paul Lambert; Oscar-nominated costume designer Jacqueline West. Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer is again on hand to create the score.

“Dune: Part Two” was filmed on location in Budapest, Abu Dhabi, Jordan and Italy. The film is slated for a November 3, 2023 worldwide release from Warner Bros. Pictures.

The latest news for Meg 2: The Trench comes in the form of a revealing interview with producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura about the upcoming movie. Speaking to Collider, Di Bonaventura promised that Meg 2: The Trench would lean more into humor which was a smaller part of the first movie. He claimed, "we learned is you could add more comedy than we originally thought in a shark movie, in a way. So I think this movie is probably funnier. There's certainly some big laughs in it." The mix of shark attacks and humor seems to be seen best with Meg 2 trailer spoiling the death of one character with a comedic beat.

Di Bonaventura also spoke about the movie's PG-13 rating which he defends as allowing the movie to relate to a wider audience. However, he insisted they are aware of keeping the movie's "edge" even with the added humor and the lack of gore. Di Bonaventura also teased that there were already thoughts on a third movie and how to keep things fresh. With the second movie returning to the ocean depths, Di Bonaventura suggested a change of pace for the third movie saying "the task the next time is to figure out what is that next underwater experience that you want to find?"
